IT'S GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL WEEK

There is still a lot to move in and little things to finish...and sometimes I wonder if I should have built it bigger or...should get rid of more stuff but it doesn't  really matter and I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face.

My grand daughter reached her new duty station after a nail biting delay.

My daughter Nyna and great grand daughter Adyson are slowly adjusting to the new routine that will be their next year until Kylie comes home.

My grand son Matthew is out of boot camp and settled in the next phase of his Navy training.

The water is hooked up in my studio and after a thorough cleaning I am ready to roll.

Nyna and I are going shopping on Wednesday for a comfy chair for my reading/relaxing corner out there.

The weather has turned from gloom and rain to beautiful sunshine and my hubby is leaving  on Thursday for a week long hunt out of state.  Time to kick back and just enjoy because...

AT THE END OF THE DAY...it's going to be a wonderful week.

Moving Day

Today was moving day.  The windows are clean there's a rug by the door and the cubbies went in this afternoon (thank you to my son Dqniel and his friend Brian).

Today was moving day.  Chairs and tables and a bookcase all waiting for art supplies, my muse, and a head full of ideas.

Today was moving day.  There is still a lot to be done.  There is a lot to move from the house and garage and the big work table will have to wait a few weeks but the water should  be hooked up in a few days and then I can work out there.

Today was moving day.  I'll start moving in supplies tomorrow and temporary work tables by the end of the week.

Today was moving day...AT THE END OF THE DAY...the best dreams don't have an expiration date so don't throw them out too soon.

CHANGES

Sweet Summer

These are the kind of days that keep me going...bright warm sun, long evenings, the smell of fresh cut grass.

We are painting the inside of the studio.  Hoping to start moving stuff into it before the end of the month.  I'm framing some new photos for a show in June and getting rid of a lot of old work making room for all the new stuff I hope to be doing soon.

I'm closing my website in the next two months and moving the galleries of artwork to this blog.  I added a page but don't really know what I am doing yet so be patient with me as I decide which pictures to put on the main page with a post and which to put on the other pages.  It will be a learning experience but...

AT THE END OF THE DAY...that's what keeps me going the most...learning new things.

WORTH IT? YOU BET!

The rain has put us behind on the studio but I decided to take advantage of the sun today.

I was afraid everything would be soggy but tulips don't last forever after all.

Was it worth it?  I think so but you decide for yourself.

One day off from working on the studio won't be missed and the beauty of the colors in the tulip fields fed my soul.

AT THE END OF THE DAY...

even the spent flowers were worth the show.

SNAILS PACE

So close...so slow...snow, rain, hail, ice, thunder, and lightening have slowed things down but the ditch is nearly finished.  In the PNW spring is still spring so work when you can...rest when you can't because...

...AT THE END OF THE DAY...even a snail reaches it's destination as long as it just keeps moving in the right direction.

MAZE OR LABYRINTH?

So far 2013 has been a bit more stressful than I expected.  My father died in March, my granddaughter re-enlisted in the Navy and is being sent to the ends of the earth for a year without her one year old daughter, and my grandson left for boot camp a few days ago.

My life has been put on hold four times since Christmas because of health issues (last day of antibiotics for the latest one) putting everything behind, including the studio.

Life is slowly getting back to normal but I wonder...what am I failing to see that I need to be stopped in my tracks and hit over the head again and again and again...

I thought I had at been moving in the right direction but apparently there is something I am still not seeing and the universe has a different plan for me.

At this point my life feels like a maze I can't find my way out of but I don't know what the answer is so I read and I write and I rest and I wonder but I let it go and I back track and I take a right turn instead of a left and I pay attention.

Because maybe what I think is a maze is really a labyrinth.  Maybe the walls I am beating my head against are not dead ends at all but the normal twists and turns of life and I need to keep moving toward the center but slow down and accept what is...

...because AT THE END OF THE DAY...life goes on.

GETTING AWAY

Winter is not finished with us yet.

My trip was stormy, windy, and cold...

 but I paid attention...

and saw shapes

and colors

and textures

and the beauty of where I live.

AT THE END OF THE DAY...I had a very restful break.
