Art
In The Barn started in 2003. This year,
2013, was the last. I didn't participate
until 2006, my very first art show, but
I have been there every year since.
Through
clear blue skies and heat; through torrential wind and rain; with fog misting
the fields in wispy tendrils; with white
marshmallow clouds behind mountains that take your breath away; in a working barn cleaned out to make room for
'Art In The Barn'; outside with white
canopies dotting the landscape for 'Art At The Barn' after the barn came down from
the heavy snow in an unusually harsh winter...we've had it all over the years...and
now it's over.
I
know I'm not alone in saying thank you to the many people who made it happen
each year and especially to the Yantis family for their hospitality,
graciousness, and all their hard work getting their farm ready and letting us use it as an art gallery. It was always an event to be looked forward
to. Our appreciation can't be expressed
in words. We are sorry it has to end
(all good things have to, though, don't they)... yet ... AT THE END OF THE DAY... we understand the reasons...and
the good memories will linger.
